Throwback Darkroom

I always told Josh that once we had our own house I wanted to build a darkroom in the basement ... Still waiting - but one day, I know I can get my hand back into that stuff ...  That is what drew me into Photography. Developing the film, seeing the proof's, getting to create your own print at the size and color you want ... I miss it ... one day though ... one day!

Anyways, I was packing up my artwork from high school and I had forgotten all about these prints I had done senior year that were matted! I still love this piece, even if it didn't win anything in the show I entered it into. My nephew was always my model (mainly), I'd tell him we're going to the park and while he was playing or before we got to the playground I would make him do poses for me. Haha, poor kid ... he would always do it though :)

My scanner does not do photos justice at all, but I saw this and I fell in love once again.

You may be seeing some more throwback items - unfortunately I have no way to reproduce these items (again, one day! :D) but please enjoy the work!

Cardninal's World Series Parade & Party

The day my mom went into the hospital my dad asked Josh and I if we wanted to help out at the WS Parade if the Card's could pull it through and win the series. Josh of course jumped at it, I had only one question - Can I take my camera? The answer was yes! That day was probably one of the best days of my Photographic life. I had a lot of fun celebrating - even though, yes I know I'm a STL heathen for saying this, I'm not a HUGE Card fan (I do enjoy going to games and cheering for them, but I don't put off plans to watch a game ... if you catch my drift :P). Unfortunately, not all of the players turned around or had a good seat for me to catch their face, but the players I did you could tell were still amazed that they had won it. It was such a cool feeling because not one of those players had on the face of "it's all about me" or "of course we won it", they were all very humble - none more than our MVP David Freese. Anyways, enough of my senseless chatter, onto the pictures!

Couldn't pass up this shot!
This was one of my accidental shots ... I believe I was trying to shoot the Clydesdale and was zoomed in - a lot! LOL
Another accidental shot :) Those are the best anyways :P
I was trying to get a shot of the crowd but once again was zoomed in a lot!
There were quite a few Freese signs, but this was one of my favorites - I wouldn't mind a hug from him myself :)
If you can't read it ... "David, I need a hug, I'm Freeseing!"
Loved it - verse Luke 14:37 I think is what it said!
